  • Checking in ...

The new year has started off so far so good as far as work goes.  And hopefully it stays on the same path for a while.

Went to the gym last night and just did the treadmill.  Stayed there for 60 minutes.  Did 45 minutes of running/jogging about 4 miles.  And then ended the workout out with speed walking for another mile.  So with a total of 5 miles, I ended my workout there.  But boy was I tired!  The heart rate monitor I was wearing strapped around my chest said I burned 566 calories.  My legs were sore the previous days doing 5 miles too.  I’m trying to aim for jogging 25 miles a week.  So far right now, Monday I did 5, yesterday I did five… 15 more to go.  But I’m not going to the gym tonight though.  Too tired.  I spent most the day outside running around on appointments.  My last appointment tonight was at 7 p.m. and that lasted till 11 p.m.  I’m ready to go to bed.  SO tired.

Still eating really good everyday.  For breakfast today I had Kashi Honey Almond Flax cereal with high protein and high fiber.  And then for lunch I had mixed greens with grilled tilapia.  Dinner was at my clients place.

On another note, I started keeping an income/budget/expense spreadsheet on Microsoft excel.  I love it.  Makes me NOT want to spend money after I see what’s going out every month.

  • beb I ate 3 slices of pizza for dinner and had 2 milk teas.

  • i need a gym buddy like you to motivate me. i haven't been since the new year!

  • wow excellent...although I always get hungry after going to the gym tho...how do you keep from overeating after work out?

  • hey thanks for the info...you know what, I'll be down in Irvine Feb 2-4 visiting my friend from high school.  maybe we can meet up.  I told Beverly too...I will go see her in LA if my friend wants to drive there:)

  • that's great. 5 miles is alot as a daily dose. I prefer doing 3+ miles in weekdays and then bust a 7 to 10 miler saturday mornings. You dont want to get too routine with your workout especially running. Or it will be hard to progress later cuz your body adjusts and gets comfortable. But great job sounds like you're kicking ass.

  • Eat less, exercise more.  Pick up your running pace.

  • I'm sure it is. Daily activity is always good. Consistency is the challenge for most people. Hectic and changing schedules. Good luck.

  • Hey wawa -- what is that DVD player that you bought from Amazon that you like a lot? Can you post it? Want to check it out .. Thanks!

  • Wow!  Im impressed... not just of the workout and eating healthy... but the expense thing.  but for me, im so organized and detailed to the cent about what i spend. but i still spend it. i just only keep track of it, but it doesnt make me spend less tho. so how i dotn know how to get that feeling to work for me. cuz i see exactly of everything of whats going out, and i keep track of EVERYTHING, but i still do it, hahaha :) miss ya~
