I love waking up to fall weather. I love fall. I love the change of the weather, I love the color of the leaves, I love the preparation for the holidays. Makes me happy. And I LOVE pumpkin pie. (Elewen
) Today I’m 33 weeks. 7 more to go. Almost there. Really almost there. I have a doctor’s appointment at 10:30am today. Just going in for the normal checkup, listen for the heartbeat, and that’s it. On November 2nd, I’ll have my ultrasound to check for Kumquat’s position.
Over the last 2 weeks, I’ve certainly started feeling him move around a lot more. I can feel what seems to be his butt pushed up against my stomach, making one side harder and sticking out more. It’s funny, when I massage that area, he’ll move to the other side or back into the middle. Then most of the time, I’ll feel a little foot or hand sticking out or brushing past. It really feels like his bones are ossifying. Amazing little thing. So I’ve been more on top of taking my calcium supplements, drinking my milk, and taking my vitamins. Being pregnant is fun. (Well, most of the time.)
We received the baby bedding package end of last week, so Hubby starting working on the room, blinds are up, wall decorations are up. Real cute. We still have some missing pieces, so I can’t wait for those to arrive! We’re ready for you Kumquat, and we CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU!

BRU = Babies R Us. Thanks for letting me know where you are registered. I got your evite and would love to go, but unfortunately we already have plans for Oct 24! We are finally going to bring the boys to visit a good friend who had her baby prematurely a few months ago. She and I keep trying to meet up, and Oct 24 is the only mutually good date for the next few MONTHS! I'm sorry to miss it, BUT I want you to come visit next week. Any day except Monday is good. Muah!

@bevconeal - how about next Thursday afternoon to evening? Are you keeping me for dinner? If you are, I can bring Chinese food from the restaurant next to my work, so you don't have to cook! Just let me know how many people total, your mom, johnny, kids, your sister?
I'll bring my mom so we can all catch up.
@My_Enigma_Heart - Hey! Thanks for offering to bring food! Looking forward to seeing you and your mom. My sister doesn't live with us (in optometry school in Orange County), but that's so nice of you to include her.
Is there any way you could come in the morning and stay for an early lunch? Jack and Derek both nap around noon, for a copule of hours. The afternoon/evening is tricky, because both kids go to sleep around 7 p.m., and as you'll soon find out, kids seem to universally get cranky around 5 p.m. SO .... we never eat dinner together on weeknights, as we're always tag-teaming the kids and eating in shifts. I'd hate to have you and your mom come and not be able to really catch up, you know? Also I'd hate to have you come in early afternoon and then have to face rush hour traffic back. Let me know if morning would work for you. (Sorry, as you'll soon find out, your schedule will revolve around naps and bedtime!)
@bevconeal - Morning to afternoon is perfectly fine too. So we'll just set if for Thursday and then figure out a definite time as the day gets closer? Yes, I think I've witnessed a few of those moments you're describing... hhee...
@Elewen - oh elewen, YES, I will post pics as soon as we get everything in there... still waiting on a few items. Hubby orders some decals from online... I think just a few more pieces and we're there!
it's fun preparing for the baby! Enjoy this time thou with ur hubby as it will be the last few weeks just u n him before the BIG bundle of jou arrives!
