BABY ROOM & SHOWER PICS: http://www.tripleeightimaging.com/gallery/baby/
Happy November 1st!
We stayed in ALL weekend. Thank gawd. My lower back needs the rest. I stayed up and caught up on everyone’s Facebook and Xanga. Seems like everyone is out partying. But my mommy did once warn me, “Once you get knocked up, all the late nights out with friends, freedom, and party scenes go out the window.” Tee hee. I guess it’s true huh? But for what we are getting, it's worth it.
Seb and I stayed in, watched a dvd while passing out candy to the neighborhood kids. It was a nice, relaxing evening in. Today we went to Costco and stayed home for the rest of the day as well. And right now I’m enjoying our 50” TV in the master. Seb helped me move the TV he got me last Christmas from my office to the master, so I can get ready to just relax in here with the baby when I do my one month recovery after Kumquat is born.
4 more weeks. Any day now.
Packing my hospital bag right now. What the heck goes in the bag?!

Hi. I found your blog through Beverly's. I just wanted to say that I LOVE your nursery. It's very cute. Can I ask you who did the animal paintings? My son is into safari animals and it would be cute to do something similar to his room. Thanks! And congratulations on your new bundle of joy. It's hard work but definitely worth it!!!
I wouldn't say its out the window... more or less just on hold for a bit. Once the baby is here you can always pump (if you are still breastfeeding, if that is your choice) and go out for a night on the town. What I didn't prepare for was how much I missed and worried about Claire! She was fine, but to this day I still have a very hard time being away from her for an extended period of time.
How are you feeling?
@Elewen - That's true! Seb and I was saying, the once in a while we go out, we'll probably have to take turns! And I'm sure it 'll be so hard to be away! I don't even wanna imagine what going back to work is going to be like.
I think I'm feeling pretty good considering I'm in my 36th week. I'm looking forward to not being pregnant anymore... and meeting the little boy. But I'm also feeling a little anxious at the same time. So kind of a mixed feeling. Not really sure what to expenct.
I guess we'll find out soon enough!
What a beautiful room! Did you have someone come in to design & paint it?
I loooooved the pics, Wa! The nursery is so cute, and you're beautiful and glowing! If you can manage it, I'd love to have you and your mom out to visit. I understand if you feel too tired, though; we can come out to see YOU after baby Kumquat arrives, too. My mom's initial escrow craziness is over, so truly, any morning now will work. YOu just let me know. And Tiffany is right -- partying is not out the window, just on hold for a lil while. Look at me -- I went and partied this weekend, ha.
The only limit will be how late you want to stay out, knowing you have to be up early the next morning. But shoot, it's easy with one -- you can always tell Seb HE has to wake up early if you go out late with girlfriends one night.
Good luck packing the hospital bag. As for what goes in it, stuff that will make you comfy in the hospital. I didn't bother with undies (except ones to go home in) and sanitary pads, though. I used the mesh panties the hospital provided, along with their pads. I mean it gets all bloody anyway, I'd rather not mess up my own stuff in the heavy postpartum bleeding the first few days anyway, you know? I also packed some sweats for myself (so that when I went walking around the hospital hall, I didn't have to ear the gown). I also brought along my breastfeeding pillow. Also don't forget your camera, the USB cable, the laptop (if you want to send emails or update FB while you're there). Anyway, the list goes on. If you want, email me!
Love the nursery!
@bevconeal - hey girl. I definitely still want to see your new house and all the work that went into it! So I'm gonna try to figure out a time both my mom and I can go~! And you are of course still welcome over at our place any time.
I'm just going to take your advice about the panties and the pads. There's so many things to prepare for already, I don't mind NOT having to deal with a couple of things right now. I think I'm just too lazy to drivie around to pick up misc. stuff. I hate walking around shopping now anymore, cause I have to pee every 5 minutes. And usually it's like 5 drops. I'll be looking forward to having Kumquat on the OUTSIDE of me SOON.
@nic_in_the_city - @joesee22 - Thank you! Hubby did pick out the things for the room... and he designed and decorated it all! I think he did a wonderful job! Now we just need Baby in it!
@Jamie - Hi jamie, thank you for the compliments!! seb actually did the vinyl stickies. He ordered them online.... I think he just typed in yahoo search for clouds and trees for baby room. I think amazon.com has a few choices. Also Target.com But there are some private sellers on yahoo.com.
