  • I’m finally home from the office.  Stayed there tonight to go through all the receipts I had so I can turn it in to the IRS.  Still have a lot of work to do and prepare all through this weekend.  Irvine Boy and Judy are both going to come and help me.  Hopefully I’ll have everything done by Sunday night.


     


    For dinner I had a sandwich from JJ Bakery.  Seems like I’m eating a lot of sandwiches lately.  But I guess that’s all I have time for!  Too much too do, I hardly ever leave my desk at work.  And if I do, I’m in car.  So these days it’s at my desk, in my car, or at the gym.


     


    Just had a Trader Joe’s blueberry oatmeal and now I’m ready for bed.  Going to get up early and hit the gym for some lower body workout and cardio.  Then I’m going to come back home to eat breakfast, shower, and get ready for work.

  • I still prefer working out in the morning vs. working out at night.  I, like everyone else, hate the initial “wake-up” feeling.  But what I get after is well worth the torture of forcing myself out of bed when even the sun isn’t up yet.  I went got into the gym early this morning before work and did some full body workouts and the treadmill for 30 minutes, and I feel GREAT right now.  I usually do when I go early in the morning 1st thing, before anything else.  Nothing beats this feeling.  I feel happy and alert for the rest of the day.


     


    Lunch today was Togo’s Pacific Cobb sandwich.  I haven’t had Togo’s in something like that last 3 years.  Good thing I only had the ½ sandwich and ½ soup combo, cause when I came back and checked the nutrition info, most of their sandwiches were 600+ calories just for the 6”.  So I had the 3” sandwich which was really filling already, along with the ½ chili.  My total cals for lunch was something like 475.  Not too bad since I didn’t eat a late morning snack.  They’re good, but not THAT good.  So I’m not having Togo’s for a while.  They're high in calories and SUPER high in sodium


     


    I don’t think I mentioned this on here yet, but I got myself a DS Lite and one of the games I got is the Hotel Dusk 215; one of those mystery games.  I’m on chapter 2 and stuck already.  I suck at solving crimes.

  • Checking in real quick.  I’m so stressed, it’s sad.


     


    I guess the IRS can audit all the way back to 7 years ago.  And I guess mine isn’t because I did anything wrong, it was just random.

  • Not much time to write lately…. Getting audited by the IRS for year 2004.  Freaking frustrating.


     


    Didn’t have time to go to the gym this morning… I was feeling tired so I slept in all the way till I had to get up and get ready for work.  Going to hit the gym for an hour around 5:00 p.m., then I have flute lessons at 7:30 p.m.  After that I’ll need to come back to the office; I have a phone appointment with a client at 9:30 p.m.


     


    Wraaah!

  • We got back in to Rowland Heights around 2 p.m. yesterday, which is REALLY good for coming back on a long weekend.  I guess traffic wasn’t that bad, but I’m not sure because I was sleeping on the way back and Irvine Boy drove.  He had suggested we leave early in the morning to miss the traffic.  And what a great idea it was!  We had lunch in Diamond Plaza and after that Irvine Boy took me and home and he went home to work on his car.  I did my laundry and cleaned up a bit.  7 loads.   7 LOADS!  Ohmygod that took forever.  But I’m happy I finally have it done and out of the way.  It was driving me nuts that I never had time to do it on the weekends because I’m always out.  And this coming weekend I won’t have time to do it either because we’re going camping.


     


    This morning I got up late…and then it didn’t help I couldn’t find the car keys.  Finally found it and rushed off to work.


     


    Breakfast was a Luna bar….and then around 11 a.m. I had another protein bar.  Today’s one of those days where I get hungry but I don’t have time to eat anything else except bars and shakes.


     


    Vegas was really, really fun.  I had a great time.  I think it’s been a while since Irvine Boy and I got to spend some time together and really do stuff… not just sit around at home or walk around the local places.  So this weekend was a really nice getaway for us to reconnect.  It was good for the relationship.  I feel all lovey-dovey now.


     


    So it’s back to real life now for another few days and we’re off to camping.  But for now I’m going back to the gym for the next few days too, starting with tonight.  I’m planning to do lower body workouts tonight and then tomorrow I’m meeting my new trainer.  Really excited to see how he’s going to be different than my old one.  I hope he’s good.

  • Thanks for the reply, girls…


     


    I drove across the street to Rite Aid after work and picked out a cooler.  I was there for 20 minutes trying to decide which one I want!  They had so many to choose from.  There were soft bag coolers, big coolers, small coolers, really small cute coolers, coolers with wheels, and cooler with different compartments.  After going back and forth, opening and closing all the different ones, I went back to the first one I picked out.  Funny how it’s always like that huh?  So trust your initial instinct?  I also went to 99 Ranch to pick up some drinks and wasabi shrimp chips for the road.


     


    Not going out tonight as we’re leaving early in the morning.  Don’t want to be tired.

  • Who’s getting off early today?  I’m not.  Kinda wish I did.  And even though I can leave any time I want, I want to make sure I get everything done so I can have fun at Vegas and not worry about things I should have taken care of. 


     


    Went to sleep kinda late last night because I decided after my workout I wanted to drop by Irvine Boy’s to visit for a while!  So I went …. then went home.  By the time I got home it was 2 a.m already!  I slept all the way till 7:45 this morning, got up, brushed and washed, and made myself breakfast.  Breakfast today was 4 egg whites, 1 slice of Milton’s whole grain toast with a few sprays of butter, and 2 strips of center cut bacon.  Didn’t go to the gym this morning because I was thinking Irvine Boy and I can go together tonight when he comes over.   We’re going to leave for Vegas from my place since we need to drop off the dogs at the dog hotel first thing in the morning.


     


    Hopefully I can rush straight home after work and get started on my laundry and maybe clean up a bit before Irvine Boy gets here.  And we’ll have the evening to workout and then just lounge around.


     


    I was thinking of bringing some snacks for the ride up to Vegas though.  And I wanted some cold drinks along the way too.  So I want to get like a mini cooler.  Where can I get those?  Rite Aid?  Wal-Mart?  Rite Aid is right across from my work, but Wal-Mart is further.


     


    Okay, breaks over.. have to get back to work and try to finish everything…. Be back on later.

  • Breakfast today was 3 in 1 instant coffee, blueberry nutri-grain waffle with a little spray butter, and 2 eggs over-medium.  Lunch I had a Lean Cuisine Cheese Ravioli.  And now I’m hungry again.  Going to have a protein bar in a little bit.  Running low on those, I’ll need to restock soon.  Most likely going to wait till tonight and see if there’s anything else I need aka, supplements, shakes, and any other healthy snacks.


     


     

  • Stats, updates, food, gifts....

    Good evening, how’s everyone doing?  It’s Tuesday which means I met with my trainer today and also went to my flute lesson.  Today was the last of my 20 sessions with this trainer.  And sometime this week I will be starting my 20 sessions with a different trainer.  I wanted to try different trainers and see how they’re different, and if I’ll like one over the other.  So we’ll see how it goes.  I’m excited!  Since I started 2.5 months ago…. My measurements were:


     


    121 pounds


    28% body fat.


     


     


    Currently:


     


    127 pounds


    24% body fat.


     


     


    We’ve strictly worked on my glutes, hamstrings, and quads twice a week since we started and  I’ve noticed a really big change in how I look in clothes.  We’ve been doing pyramid workouts and super-setting everything.  My butt used to be flat.  But over the last 2.5 months we’ve built a significant amount of muscles there.  I’m super pleased with the progress I’ve made.  So now it’s onto a new trainer for the next 2.5 months and we’ll see how that goes.  After I finish I’ll decide if I want to stick with the new one or go back to the previous one.


     


    Haven’t really lost any weight yet… actually my weights been increasing because I’m still trying to build a little mass before I start shredding down.  So I’m still trying to eat 300 – 400 more than I burn per day, which is putting me at around 2500 calories per day.  My weight has gone up but I’m still fitting into my clothes pretty much the same so hopefully that means I’m gaining more muscle than fat.  I can’t wait till I can start burning off all the excess fat.  But we probably won’t start on that till maybe fall or winter?  Not sure.  All depends on where I want to be during the building phase.


     


    Breakfast today was 2 scoops of Isopure which gives me 220 cals and 50g of protein.  Also had 2 strawberry wafer cookies.  Total cals for breakfast was 350, pretty decent number.  Lunch was a Promax protein bar for 290 cals and 20g of protein.  And throughout the day I some random snacks like the 100 cal popcorn, an apple, and some fage mixed with honey and granola.  Dinner I had Jack in the Box Chicken Fajita Pita for 300 cals, 10g fat, and 23g of protein (one of the healthier selections at a fast food joint, and pretty good tasting).  I’ll probably have another fage mixed with honey before bed or something just so I don’t go through the whole night with nothing in my stomach.  Today was just a lot of protein powder and bars cause it's a super busy day and I haven't had time to buy or make anything.


     


      I’m also putting together a care package that I’m sending overseas to a really good friend.  Trying to think of some cute things to put in there.  So far I have a card, a coach wristlet in there, a pink travel makeup bag with a hanger hook, some snacks aka flammin hot cheetos, cheez-its, oh(!) and a small photo album with our pictures in there from when I was visiting in February.  What else, what else???  Any other ideas?  I guess no chocolates and stuff like that since it might melt.  She totally loves Sara Lee’s Blueberry bagels from here too .. but I’m afraid it’d get moldy by the time she gets it.  Okay, so if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.


     


    Okay, now.. updates on the past weekend.  Nothing much happened except Irvine Boy was in Vegas with his buddies for a bachelor party and were all probably getting wild out there.  10+ guys out in Vegas = up to no good.  But anyway, Irvine Boy did call me and ask me how come I never ask him about us and marriage.  So does that mean he’s thinking about it and wants to marry me???  Oh(!) and he said that he loves me a lot and if I want 3 kids, he’s going to give me 3 kids, cause I deserve everything I want!  Yeah, I want 3 kids.  I know I’m crazy.  But after they’re all grown up, everything will be worth it.  So does this mean he’s thinking about this whole marriage and kids thing?  It was actually really cute the way he was talking about having kids.
